In the past few days, two MLMs have announced they’re closing their doors.
Wildtree is a recipe and menu planning service, that also sells make ahead meal kits and ingredients. They will be closing on 30 September 2019.
Chloe + Isabel is a NY-based jewellery and watch company. They will be closing on 31 July 2019.
Both companies delivered the news to their independent contractors via email in the past few days, with no forewarning. An unpleasant shock for their distributors!
The Wildtree distributors aren’t happy. It sounds like there have been some issues for a little while. This Glassdoor review gives some insight.
This really highlights how when you sign up to an MLM, you are not a business owner, but a glorified sales rep without a salary. If you owned your business, you would make the decisions about whether or not to close your doors.

India Hicks, a UK based MLM run by a random aristocrat, also closed down!
